June 27 markes the 17th annual National HIV Testing Day, NHTD. NHTD is sponsored by the National Association of Persons with AIDS (NAPWA) and CDC. Events such as health fairs, Pride festivals, and community gatherings will be held on and around June 27. Each event will hightlight HIV screening with rapid tests or traditional lab based testing. Other events may include STD and other health screenings.
Postings for events and expanding information for each event by region will be made by the Bureau of HIV/AIDS up through June 27. For more information about events, please contact the person on the event blog or contact your local county health department.
