HIV is a huge issues within the Hispanic community. Events such as National Latino AIDS Awareness Day are great to raise awareness and provide services, but that’s really only a temporary solution.

There’s a huge issue with health care in the community that’s not really helping the situation.

Right now, one influential Hispanic is doing her part to raise the level of awareness in the community and spread the word about services and information that can be useful.

I completely agree with this blog. The HIV/AIDS epidemic is hitting both the Black and Latin community at an astronomical and alarming rate. Education is the key - a simple billboard in a highly populated Hispanic or Black neighborhood would be a great idea to raise awareness. Providing information in night clubs, high schools and college campuses would be a great way to educate and enlighten the next generation.
