Dec 15- Union County post World AIDS Day event to be held in Lake Butler (Union County). Joe Pietrangelo has assigned a program intern, Kia, to coordinate a community forum with Teresa White and one of their local persons living with HIV to speak. Final preparations are being completed with more information to come. Teresa will address the Faith community primarily. We will provide strategies to mobilize and address the underlying factors to HIV/AIDS

Event Description:	SOS Action Team (Orlando)host their third World AIDS Day Motorcycle Rally to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS among black women in Central Florida. Biker or not, meet-up with us at 9:30am at the Smith Center, along with Orlando City Commissioner Samuel B. Ings, Star94fm radio personality JoJo O\’Neal, Daralene Jones from WFTV, and other special guests to support the bikers before they ride out to recognize this day and make a thundering noise about the state of HIV/AIDS in the black community. Can’t make the start for rally, then join us at the Northwest Center (@12:00pm) and cast your vote in the Best Bike competition and to support the Compete! for a Cause basketball tournament and toy drive; $3 or donate a new toy to get you into the tournament. There will be free HIV testing on-site for you or a friend/family member who doesn’t know their status.

Facing AIDS Health Screening

Business partners are “Facing AIDS” the Minority AIDS program, Toshira PoPo and the students of the Collegiate health services Corps from UF are partnering with one of the Business Response to AIDS partners to host a variety of health screenings at a local Beauty Salon “Ebone” owner Mr K in Gainesville. The event will be held from 1pm until 430pm at the shop. Teresa white and program volunteers will offer free STD and Rapid HIV testing among other health information.
